Aadhyapan 2006 - Higher Education expo in Colombo 11 - 13th August 2006
The exhibition has brought together many good institutions from Asia, Australia and around the world. It was a scene of qualified professionals meeting enthusiastic students. The crowd was mostly of students who wish to leave their country and equip themselves for achieving this ambition.
Preferred institutions were in Australia and Malaysia for many of the students. However, the Indian institutions were also doing a great job in management, Information Technology, Engineering, and Medicine. The exhibition was a challennge to the professionals in attracting and retaining a students positive expression towards their institute.
Lots of stalls were not getting auidience. Seldom is a person visiting them but the cheerful stall managers were present and alert never the less. The security situation which deteriorated in the North of Sri Lanka has may be reduced the crowd coming in to the Exhibition.
It was a good show for ICFAI Education Lanka, offering Executive MBA, BBA (Part time) and B Sc (Part time) with classes support and MBA and CIIA in the distance mode. A lot of students are interested in Indian institutions and have expressed desire to know the possibility of studying a few semesters in India. It was a good exhibition to expose the University to the local students and also to know the competition and customer requirements.
A successful show organized and managed with due care and professionalism by the expatriate management team and the local marketing staff. Presence of senior academicians from the college has contributed a lot in the success of the show.
