E-Books - Challenge to the publishing industry

If the publishing industry wants to avoid myopic view of the business, they should redefine themselves as content generators / aggregators and the process through which the content is delivered is virtual or physical. 

Propping up the print books by increased pricing of the electronic books will only result in piracy and illegal sharing of books. (http://hbswk.hbs.edu/rss/6369.html)

However, the habit of reading should be propped up so that the changing demographics doesnot become individuals who do not read for pleasure.
